Are you unsure how to safeguard girls in your school from Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)?
Ofsted requirements are that:
Children and learners are able to understand, respond to and calculate risk effectively, for example risks associated with child sexual exploitation, domestic violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, substance misuse, gang activity, radicalisation and extremism, and are aware of the support available to them. (Ofsted Inspecting Safeguarding, April 2015)
Six sessions were offered in the Summer Term. These were very successful and well received. If you were unable to attend and require any information on the Lesson Packs please contact Hazel Pulley at Parkfield School on 0121 464 1131.
Tickets are available from http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/hazel-pulley-10788146078
The training and lesson pack is charged at £50.00 with all proceeds going to Birmingham Against FGM for the continued fight to end FGM within a generation.
