A new Victims Fund bringing benefits to victims of crime is being launched by West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner David Jamieson.
The Victims Fund has been set up to improve victims’ services and to maximise the potential of organisations to deliver vital services supporting victims of crime in the West Midlands, helping them to cope and cover from their experience.
£300,000 is available for organisations who provide support to victims of crime helping them to cope with the trauma of what has happened to them and recover from the impact.
Individual applications can be made or organisations can apply together as a consortium.
The fund is open to a wide range of voluntary and community sector organisations and compliments the Commissioner’s newly launched Victims Service. West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner David Jamieson said, “Putting victims first is a key priority. I want to make sure that victims of crime have the right support when they need it. “I would urge organisations from across the region to apply for funding so we can work together to support vulnerable victims of crime in the West Midlands.“This new Victims Fund is available to organisations who support victims and help them to cope and recover.”
